Father Frank Brennan falls ill

We ask that you pray for Father Frank Brennan, who was taken to hospital yesterday evening (2 May) diagnosed with acute renal failure.
Fr Frank fell ill after traveling to Papua New Guinea as a chaplain for students from Riverview College on a trek along the Kokoda Trail.
Despite days of pain and acute discomfort, there are positive signs of recovery under the care of doctors in the Renal Unit at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney.
At the moment, Fr Brennan is too weak to have any visitors other than family and Jesuits. He is expected to be in the hospital for the next 10 days.
Updates will be available through the Province Office, on (03) 9810 7300.
Please keep Fr Brennan in your prayers.

Prayers are being offered at Masses today at St. Mary's Geelong for Father Brennan by the community and also myself. We are in the middle of a Mission and when I heard I have asked for prayers for Father Brennan and the community will be praying for his speedy recovery and return to health at all Masses. My prayers are also with the Jesuit Community at this sad time of the loss of Father Drake at Campion House Kew. regards from Ann Barfoot.
